AUDITIONS

The Cutting Ball Theater is holding general auditions for the Hidden Classics and RISK IS THIS reading series in the 2011-2012 season, and for our full productions of August Strindberg’s five chamber plays in the beginning of the 2012-2013 season. Auditions will be held at Cutting Ball’s space at the EXIT on Tayor (277 Taylor Street, San Francisco), December 3 from 10am-6pm and December 4 from 6pm – 10pm. Callbacks will be held in the evenings the following week. To request an audition, please email Sam Gibbs at casting@cuttingball.com with a headshot, resume, and your availability.

Actors should prepare two one-minute monologues (classical and contemporary) and be ready to read sides provided at the audition. Actors auditioning for Strindberg Cycle: The Chamber Plays in Rep should choose material from August Strindberg or one of his near contemporaries (mid 19th century, first half of the 20th century – including but not limited to Maurice Maeterlinck, Eugene O’Neill, Henrik Ibsen, and Anton Chekhov).

Please bring two copies of your headshot and current resume, and note that auditions will be recorded by video and used for casting purposes only.
