Cutting Ball Theater's COVID-19 Response
Dear friends of Cutting Ball,
Last week, we announced the postponement of Cyrano due to COVID-19. Now, following the mandate to shelter in place, we’re announcing Cyrano’s cancellation.
We are so sad and so sorry that we're not able to share this beautiful, budding show - halted two weeks into a rigorous rehearsal process - but public health and safety must come first.
For Cutting Ball, Cyrano’s cancellation is a profound creative loss with significant financial impact. To protect our artist community, Cutting Ball has committed to pay everyone involved with Cyrano in full, for work canceled over the next two months. If you'd like to support Cutting Ball's commitment to artists during COVID-19 crisis, we're gratefully accepting donations at cuttingball.com/donate
If you are a Cyrano ticket-holder or Cutting Ball subscriber, our Box Office will be in touch shortly regarding this cancellation and your order.
Cyrano’s cancellation brings an early close to Cutting Ball’s 2019/2020 Season. Please stay tuned for Cutting Ball’s 2020/2021 Season announcement in May — and we look forward to seeing you at the theater in September, as we begin a fresh year of bold, surprising theater.
In the meantime, we’re wishing you good health and hoping for the Bay Area’s rapid recovery.
